Preserving Artifacts

The museum wants to keep the artifacts in the museum in the best condition possible. When someone gives us an artifact it goes through a formal process called accessioning. Accessioning means that we have agreed to take care of the artifact and do our best to ensure that it will survive so that future generations can learn about it. The next pages will take you through the accessioning process for this pair of boots.
