Birthday Parties
Plan your next birthday party at the Museum--just one of the many benefits of Museum membership. Only members of the Orpheum Children's Science Museum have the priviledge of scheduling birthday parties in our museum.
All membership levels include free admission for a year, our newsletter, discounted registration for summer camps and a 10% discount in our gift shop. Some membership levels even include free admission to hundreds of science centers and childrens museum across the country and the world!
OCSM does not provide food or party supplies, but you may certainly bring your own. We require a $20 non-refundable deposit. This depost fee is paid at the time of the scheduling and the remaining balance is due by the day of the party. You may change the date up to three days prior to the party date. We request that there be one adult chaperone per five visiting children, and chaperones are responsible for the behavior of the children. Families are expected to leave the area clean at the end of the party.
Please let us know if any group member has special needs so we can accommodate you. The balance of the party fee is due on the party day. A confirmation form detailing your party arrangements will be sent upon receipt of the deposit.
Standard Birthday Party - $50
- these are done during public hours in the conference/party room on the second floor
- use of the upstairs party room for two hours during regular museum hours
- admission for 10 children ($5 fee for each additional child with a maximum of 15)
- free admission for adults
Private Birthday Party - $100
- these are held when the museum is not open to the public
- use of party room or mezzanine for two hours when museum is closed to the public
- 20-minute hands on science presentation by member of the museum staff.
- admission for 15 children ($5 for each additional child) with a maximum of 25 children.
- free admission for adults
- Private parties have use of all public areas of the museum and the mezzanine for food.
Decorations and food are not provided, but please feel free to bring your own! Contact us for more information. Parties are traditionally two hours in length with staff available 1/2 hour before the start of the party to allow for set-up. Parties may be extended by 1/2 hour for an additional $25 pending availability of facility.
