2008-2010 Educators Guide Nearly Ready to Go!

Educators!   Take advantage of the programs offered by the nine museums in Champaign County from one source!   It's "one stop shopping" with the online Educator's Guide.  The updated 2008-2010 guide will be available for download from this web site in the next few weeks.   Stay tuned!

       Staerkel Planetarium to present the "First (and Last) 35mm Film Festival"

The William M. Staerkel Planetarium at Parkland College opened in 1987 as a member of "Cinema 360," a consortium of planetariums who projected 35mm film on the dome.  The films we have in stock are getting older and some are outdates, but we're going to show them "one more time" to the public beginning March 7.  Each film will play in the 8pm time slot for a weekend and then be retired.  For more information on the festival see www.parkland.edu/planetarium/filmfest.html.   For a full schedule and ticket information, call 351-2446 or see www.parkland.edu/planetarium.
