Abstract: Hoover will explore the tools used by the poineers in Illinois such as kitchen tools, farming tools, educational tools, and domestic tools. They will compare these tools to those used today for similar purposes, explore how they changed, discover what new inventions were developed, and the impacts of these new ideas on daily life.
