TopicTitle: "Exploring with Initiative, Ingenuity, Perseverance, and Integrity"

Abstract: Garfield students plan to develop a theme that explores the principles of initiative, ingenuity, perservance, and integrity within the context of local history. They plan to study Native Americans, Early European Settlers, and their descendants. Possible sub-topics could concern relationships with the land including ecology, farming and prairies, uses of resources, transportation, and river otters.
