WE'RE MOVING!

After 23 years, the Champaign County Historical Museum is on the move to serve you better. Until our plans are finalized, we are moving the collection into temporary storage space in Champaign and will become a virtual museum existing only on the World Wide Web. We plan to change our "exhibits" regularly while maintaining our educational commitment to the Museums in the Classroom project.

Chantelle Hoagland, Museum Administrator, and Maria Cifuentes, Administrative Assistant, tackle the arduous task of documenting and packing some of the 10,000 museum artifacts.

Board members Jane Adrian, Marge Ulinski, and Helen Burch take a break from packing up the collection. Many thanks to these ladies for the many, long hours they have contributed to the move.

The Wilber Mansion has been a wonderful home to the Champaign County Historical Museum but it is time to say good-bye. If you have any ideas for a new location, e-mail us at cchmus@c-u.net.
